► Tempo Time Adjustment – allows users to adjust the duration of a video up to + or – 10% with no observable artifacts. This allows for increased dynamic ad insertion (DAI) and greater revenue potential and is ideal for broadcasters working with footage with unusual timing (eg. foreign productions, old movies, etc.).
► VOD Producer DAI – integrates with VOD Producer to define frame-accurate locations for dynamic ad insertion downstream. This enable fresh, relevant, targeted ads within on-demand content.
► Lightspeed K80 Server – server optimized for Vantage 6.2 or later with cutting-edge speed through an NVidia GPU and twin 12-core CPUs. The Lightspeed K80 greatly boosts video processing, H.264 encoding, image scaling, deinterlacing, frame-rate conversion, motion vector calculation, compositing, and other compute-intensive tasks for Vantage products.
► Episode 6.5 – new version of encoding platform that enables support for closed captions, new formats, encoding for multi-bitrate streaming, and multi-track audio.

► AG-DVX200 Handheld 4K Camera – the 4K successor of the DVX100 with 4K/60p recording, 13X optical zoom, a V-Log L gamma curve, and a Leica Dicomar fixed lens with F2.8 aperture. At a price-point of less than $5,000, this innovative camera is ideal for independent films, documentaries, and event videography.
► LiveU Central – a partnership with LiveU that enables the wireless distribution of video direct from AJ-series AVC ultra cameras equipped with a 4G LTE dongle. LiveU Central allows the remote control of iris, white-balance, record, and master gain, and enables remote geolocation and real-time wireless preview and distribution of footage.
► P2 Cast – a program by Panasonic designed for news production teams that enables real-time collaboration with footage from AJ-series AVC ultra cameras equipped with 4G LTE dongles. P2 cast enables cameras to wirelessly upload proxies for editing. Once an EDL is created, it is sent back to the camera in the field and the camera automatically sends a high quality version of the footage needed by the EDL. In essence, a high-quality video can be created by a news production team for air before the cameras are even back from the field. P2 cast is available as a free trial through September.

The Sony Trimaster EL allows for advanced colour grading, editing, and quality control in a 4K production workflow.
► 4K over IP for Broadcasting – At NAB Sony successfully demonstrated a 4K over IP workflow utilizing their newly-developed IP live production system. Using the world’s first 4K-ready, IP networked live production switcher that they developed, Sony sent multiple 4K & HD streams via a single 40GbE fiber-optic Ethernet cable. The streams were converted from SDI to IP by a Sony signal processing unit equipped with an advanced converter board. The 4K live switcher did the IP and SDI hybrid switching, and the devices were operated by an IP live system manager station that selected optimal bandwidths to ensure secure, stable 4K transmissions.
