Collaborate and Edit from Anywhere
Over the last several weeks our technical department has spent quite a bit of time implementing remote workflows at several of our larger facilities, so they could continue operations with minimal compromises. We took what we learned from these deployments to develop a simple package that enables shared editorial workflows both for in-office and remote creatives.
Our solution includes an established shared storage system (Editshare) but adds a provision for remote access. This functions over PCoIP, which allows the storage to be accessed from anywhere using almost any kind of computer, even over low bandwidth connections. It supports multiple creative applications including Adobe Creative Cloud, DaVinci Resolve and Avid Media Composer. It gives the remote user an experience similar to being in front of their workstation at the office.
The bundle includes a Jetstream server. Jetstream accelerates the movement of large files — video files between remote locations and the primary storage at the office, or to any destination, public cloud or private.
The complete package includes an Editshare system with 48TB of storage and their award-winning Flow project management software. It further includes an HP Z series computer to act as a system host to remote clients. To complete the system and provide faster and more complete access for users inside and outside of your organization, we are including a one-year license for Jetstream, with unlimited transfers and no bandwidth restrictions. This system is built and pre-tested at our facility, allowing us to deploy it on site in a minimal amount of time. Remote users can connect with either a Mac, PC, Linux or Zero client. Editshare and Jetstream have partnered with TM Television to bring you these systems at highly discounted prices. The basic configuration starts at $45,000.
